Vegas Casino 21 may have been guilty of some minor slips in Customer Relations, but the major complaint that Chris R of Henderson, Kentucky, had is not one which Gambling Grumbles was willing to take up with the casino. Chris had played at the casino, lost, and then wanted to make another deposit and play some more. His new deposit was rejected because, in his words, "I made a few deposits with my Visa card, then they blocked me from making Visa deposits because of an incident in the past regarding unauthorized use of a different Visa card at a different casino". He then asked to have his losses returned because, "I was no longer able to try to win it back". Chris said he "received an e-mail back from Support in just a few hours that said that refunds had been issued to my account and that my account had been closed". He did not get the refunds and further e-mails were note answered. That is when he asked for our help. Assuming that everything that Chris told us was true (and we have no grounds to doubt it as we didn't ask Casino Vegas 21), the only things it is guilty of is mistakenly telling him that his money will be refunded and then being rude in not replying to his later letters. If Gambling Grumbles did contact the casino, at the most we could ask them to do would be to send him an e-mail. That did not seem serious enough to warrant opening negotiations with them. His request to get his losses back, simply because he will not have an opportunity to win them, is not a valid one. A casino has the right not to allow someone to play there -- just as a player has the right not to play at a particular casino. This does not mean that either side should have its losses refunded. If I were to play at Vegas Casino 21 today, win a few hundred dollars, and then never return, Vegas Casino 21 would not have the opportunity to win its losses to me back. If it wrote to me asking me to return the money, I would just laugh. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, and Gambling Grumbles will not ask a casino to do anything we would not ask a player to do.
