Waiting for 42 more players

Cem O of England won't know it until he reads this report, but the £12,104 in his 7Sultans account is being frozen until 42 other players fill out their faxback forms.

To make it worse, some of these players (we have no idea how many) are not owed any money by the casino, and thus have no reason to ever fill out the forms.

Even this situation, however, is theoretically better than Cem was told. He was informed that his account had been suspended and "We may refuse to register you as a Player or elect to deregister and exclude you or suspend you as a Player from the Casino at any time if we deem that your participation at the Casino is, shall be or has been previously, in any way not for personal entertainment [i.e. professional], fraudulent, illegal] or that your participation is or has been abusive, collusive or irregular in any way."

Moreover, the suspension, the casino told him, gives them the right to "withhold payment to you of any contested funds whether such contested funds are deposits, refunds, bonuses, free monies, casino credits, payouts or the like."

Cem was not told in what way his account violated the casinos T&Cs and turned to Gambling Grumbles for help.

"I won £12,104 at 7Sultans Casino, but they are not paying as they say their terms say they can do what they like," he told us.

"I signed up back on the 11th of October after seeing an advert somewhere for a £500 welcome bonus. I deposited £500, got a £500 bonus and hit one of the most popular slots - Loaded. I thought my luck was really in when I got 5 in a row the top paying symbol, with a wild to win me £8,400! I carried on playing Loaded and finished their 'wagering requirement' with a balance of £12,104! By far my biggest ever win!

"I sent the ID they asked for by email and waited a week or 2 for a response. After no emails, I called them, and was told that I 'hadn't passed security'".

When we contacted 7Sultans, they confirmed that Cem had supplied his identification forms, but said "On our casino this player is linked to another player who uses the same computer and software (identifiers). When we enquired with our processor, who processes transactions for several other casino operators, they informed us that, not only does he share these identifiers with a player who plays with us, but also with several other players playing with the other operators.

"Our reality is that someone in this link is creating other identities to open accounts and across the group of players they were asked to return KYC documentation so we can ascertain the legality of these players.

"Mr O may have returned his documents to us but none of the other players have. So we have no way, at this stage, to ascertain whether Mr O is the person creating these accounts or not. As soon as we receive the KYC (Know Your Customer) documents from this other player and our processors have received confirmation that the other operators have received KYC documents from the other linked players, Mr O's cash-in will be released".

The casino told us there are 42 other players linked by the processor.

Will these players ever fill out their documentation? It seems very questionable. The one player that the casino said played at 7Sultans is not owed any money, so he has little reason to fill out the forms. Are the others waiting to be paid?

"I cannot comment on the other players who are on the processor's list as they will not supply me with that information," the casino rep told us.

In his initial letter to us, Cem said, "due to the sum of money, I am currently talking a lawyer about going out to Malta and taking these crooks to court, but thought I would try you first, so it would be great if you could help, or at least expose this casino so no one else falls in their trap".

Courts are notoriously slow, but we suspect that even the slowest court will be quicker than waiting for those 42 players to fill out their forms.
