Below is the report which we originally published. About a week after it appeared, we received the following e-mail from the player:

"You'll be pleased to know that Bubble Bingo have paid me the full £2160 that I won. I nagged at them, and they said they would not be transferring me anymore funds, but then I nagged some more, sent your link and they replied saying that they will transfer the funds. Received them today. Thank you so much, can't help but feel your report was the cause of this!"

This is not the first time that a Cassava site has changed its position after a report appeared on Gambling Grumbles but it is, unfortunately, unusual. As long as Cassava refuses to discuss complaints sent in to us, it will remain in our Hall of Shame.

It is an old, and dirty, trick of Cassava -- but this time it has a new twist.

If you self-exclude at any Cassava website, you are banned from all of them. If that was the entire story, we would have no problem with it. Self-exclusion, after all, is meant to assist players by making it more difficult for them to lose money gambling.

What Cassava does, however, is to allow players who self-exclude from one site to sign up at another -- and then disqualify them only if they win money.

There have been repeated complaints about this from players, often pointing out that it is difficult to know which sites are part of Cassava. Liam W of Birmingham, UK, however, is the victim of a new Cassava twist to this practice. He self-excluded for a six month period, and when it was over, opened a new account at Bubble Bingo Bonus, won big -- and then was told that they are keeping his winnings because of his expired self-exclusion.

"In the past I have excluded from Cassava bingo websites due to problem gambling," he told us, "however, the exclusion periods ended quite a while ago and since then I can log on to all my accounts. Yesterday, I set up a new account with www.bubblebingobonus.com, I deposited around £600 and won £2800. This took a few hours but in the end I was ecstatic because it meant I could pay some debts off as I am shortly moving into my own place. I withdrew £1000, but because their daily limit is £1000, I needed to wait for it to process before I could withdraw the rest (it takes 48 hours). Anyway, at around 10am this morning, I got the following email:

"'This is Zoltan from the Security Department at Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd. Cassava Enterprises manages security services for Bubble Bingo Bonus.

"'As your account is related to other accounts closed by our Department for responsible gaming issues we had to discontinue your membership.

"'Please note your amount of deposit will be refund.

"'Kindly refrain from registering further accounts with sites owned, operated or managed by Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd. Any new accounts registered shall be immediately blocked upon detection and any successful deposits or accumulated winnings shall not be paid.'"

Liam told us that "I requested a self exclusion from the other account, however, that period of self exclusion ended earlier this year, therefore I was allowed to reopen other accounts (It was 6 months and the period ended, I was told I could reopen accounts after this). I have a balance of £2800 on my account which I would like to be withdrawn. I appreciate the terms and conditions, however, I opened this account after my exclusion period had ended".

Gambling Grumbles did not contact Bubble Bingo Bonus because Cassava and all of its casinos are in our Hall of Shame for refusing to discuss player complaints which are sent in to us. Bubble Bingo Bonus, as is our practice, will be sent a link to this report and should it decide to respond to it, we will update the report.

In the meantime, we are unable to list all of the Cassava websites (which we usually do for any group in our Hall of Shame). That means that players have to be extremely careful when opening an account at any casino.

As a rule of thumb, we urge you to stay away from any casino whose website shows it to be affiliated with UFFILIATES, CASSAVA, or DRAGONFISH. They are all connected with Cassava.
